(A big explosion happens, killing people in a place) Dying Guy to Not Dying Guy
"Go on with out me!" He changes his mind.
"Take me with you!" (NDG gets on magical beast.)(Long scene of NDG flying over a lake) ( He lands and finds random generic girl in distress)
"Oh no, save the thing/person/place, Not Dying Guy! Also, I have to follow you around for a while, in some kind of romantic relationship that doesn't work out till the very end."
"Okay." (They spend what feels like a bajillion years going after a generic villan.)
(They find GV)
"BUHAHAHAH, I will destroy the thing/person/place!"
(There is a gigantic fight scene where the plot twist happens)
GV: "Oh no, I have been defeated! But there is a bomb in the back room that may have been the plot twist!"(They either defuse the bomb in the last ten seconds and live happily ever after, or there is a dramatic explosion.)
NDG:"I am sad, because one member of our sidekicks have died.You know, the one we got 30 minutes in."
(they live happily ever after)
